Job Description - Account Manager - Field-Based

Account Manager – Field-Based (UK & Ireland, National Coverage)

My client is looking for a proactive Account Manager to manage and grow strategic customer relationships across the UK and Ireland. This field-based role focuses on delivering excellent service, driving customer retention, and generating sustainable sales growth. My client is the market leader in their field and due to growth & organic promotion, they are expanding their sales team! Previous experience working in a Pharmaceutical Product focused market would be advantageous but not essential. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, delivering personalized service to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Account Development: Schedule and lead regular client meetings to understand needs, identify opportunities, and propose tailored solutions.
  • Sales Growth: Identify and act on sales opportunities within existing accounts. Prepare pricing and quotations, collaborating with internal teams as needed.
  • Product Trials: Coordinate and manage product trials, providing support to ensure successful outcomes and adoption.
  • Client Engagement: Organize and attend customer-facing events to enhance engagement and promote solutions.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated with industry news, competitor activity, and market developments. Share insights with internal teams.
  • Contract Management: Monitor and manage the renewal of contractual agreements and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Account Analysis: Review client performance, identifying ways to improve customer value and increase profitability.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Commercial Support and Sales Teams to improve sales conversion rates and client experience.
  • Travel Arrangements: Arrange travel and accommodation for client meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Strategic Input: Contribute to market analysis and commercial strategy by sharing customer insights.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required by senior management or Directors.
    • £40-45,000 per annum 
    • 5% Bonus 
    • Competitive Commission Scheme

    • Full travel expenses paid
