Account Manager - Major Retail Accounts
North Leeds | £55,000 base + £10,000 OTE
Permanent | Full-Time Hybrid, 4 days in the office.

POST Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a market-leading brand to recruit an experienced and commercially savvy Account Manager to join their high-performing team in North Leeds.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Account Manager to take ownership of key retail accounts, manage and coach a small team, and deliver strategic growth across established and emerging clients in the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of major retail accounts, delivering on agreed commercial objectives.

  • Achieve sales revenue and volume targets across your portfolio.

  • Proactively identify and win new retail accounts, negotiating commercial terms and clearly communicating internal policies and procedures.

  • Maintain high standards of customer service, meeting qualitative performance targets.

  • Lead, coach and develop Account Executives, supporting their progression and daily development needs.

  • Build tailored development plans for each account, aligning with broader business and marketing strategies.

  • Plan and execute targeted promotional campaigns in collaboration with retail partners.

  • Gather and analyse marketplace intelligence to inform future business planning.

  • Provide regular performance updates, tracking against targets and highlighting trends or opportunities.

  • Liaise with internal departments including operations and marketing to ensure the smooth delivery of account-specific activity.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience managing major retail accounts in a fast-paced commercial environment.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales and performance targets.

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

  • Leadership qualities, with experience mentoring or managing junior team members.

  • A proactive, data-driven approach to planning and execution.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Package:
  • £55,000 base salary + £10,000 OTE
