Account Manager - Sheet Metal

Sales & Estimating Manager required for a sheet metal fabrication company based in Huddersfield. This would be an internal role and they are ideally looking for experience with sheet metal fabrication, subcontracting, etc.

• Responsible for tendering for new business, project estimating, to include reading and understanding of customer drawings in a variety of different formats
• Advantageous to have knowledge of laser cutting, metal bending, welding processes / fabrication, painting and be self- motivated and familiar with all aspects of the tendering / quotation process to give accurate assumptions of manufacturing
• Preparing contracts for shop floor manufacture using manufacturing software
• Respond to customer enquiries, processing quotations in a polite timely manner
• Build relationships with current customer base and with new customers to maximise the sales from each
• Able to break down Engineering Drawings into a suitable parts list to enable purchasing of material
• Able to identify any subcontract requirements and generate enquiries to subcontractors
• Capable of generating new business leads from research and be tenacious in approaching potential new customers in the most effective way
• Be driven in achieving sales targets and reporting of results
• Comfortable in holding face to face meetings with customers to discuss projects
• Confident in discussing any contractual issues which may arise

• Previous experience in a similar industry

• Salary dependent on experience likely £35k-£45k
• bonus scheme based on profitability of business (Circa £5k)
• 150 pound a month additional payment
• 07:30-16:15 Mon-Thurs
• 07:30-13:30 Friday
