Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working after probation
Holiday – 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)
Client Relationship Manager Role
Our client is the fastest-growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK with over 30 years of experience. We are now looking to recruit a Client Relationship Manager to join the team in their Peterborough office. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of accountancy clients, acting as a trusted point of contact and ensuring exceptional service delivery. You will work closely with internal teams to understand client needs, identify opportunities for growth, and support long-term client retention
Key responsibilities of a Client Relationship Manager will include:
Reviewing year end accounts, corporation and personal tax returns and VAT returns prepared by senior or junior members of the accounts team. Helping clients with general advice and software questions. Managing a portfolio of clients, this will involve workforce planning, management of WIP and billing Briefing team members on assignments, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of the plans Oversee junior team members, delegating work between the team and signing off on files prepared by them - ensuring work is done within budget Strengthening existing client relationships Contributing to ongoing process improvement and best practice development Winning new clients
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Essential : 3+ years of Practice experience ACCA/ACA qualified Working knowledge of accounting software including Sage and Xero, previous use of CCH would be an advantage. Recent experience of Accounts production with a good level of technical knowledge of accounting standards Strong Excel skills (including vlookup, sumif and Pivot Tables) Comfortable in a client facing role Strong background in accounts preparation Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Previous knowledge and experience of a broad range of sectors would be an advantage Solid communication skills, with experience of regular, in-person or telephone client contact Organised and diligent, ensuring that jobs are processed in a timely way and that client requests are dealt with Participative team player that motivates others and willingly accepts tasks to assist others
