Job Title: Accountant

Are you a highly organised, self-motivated, and commercially astute accountant looking for a pivotal role in a growing business? My client is seeking a dynamic team player with strong problem-solving skills to act as the Number 2 in finance, supporting the company's ambitious five-year growth strategy.

This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a successful and expanding organisation. In addition to preparing timely and accurate management accounts, forecasts, analysis, KPIs, and reconciliations, you will play a highly client-focused role. You will be responsible for producing various financial reports on client loans and the loan book, ensuring the information meets both internal and external needs.

The role also includes treasury management, overseeing funding partner relationships, and managing reporting and auditing requirements. You will develop financial controls and systems to support this crucial area of the business. A key part of your responsibility will be presenting financial information, including accounts and forecasts, to key stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and the Board.

• Prepare and present management accounts, forecasts, and financial analysis.

• Support the company's ambitious growth plans with forward-thinking financial strategies.

• Produce financial reports for both internal teams and external clients.

• Manage treasury functions, including funding partner relationships and auditing processes.

• Develop and enhance financial controls and systems.

• Present financial information to key stakeholders, including banks and auditors.

• Gain a deep understanding of the business and provide support to the Financial Controller when required.

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.

• Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.

• Ability to develop financial controls and reporting systems.

• Hands-on approach with the ability to support wider business functions.

• Experience within financial services is preferred but not essential.
