Job Title: Accountant - Logistics

A leading UK-based retail and logistics organisation is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join its finance team, focusing on logistics cost reporting and analysis. This is a high-impact role supporting both site and central teams, providing financial insight and challenge to drive cost control and performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead weekly logistics cost reporting, consolidating input from operational sites and third-party providers
• Manage month-end close processes for logistics, including cost line analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
• Deliver detailed variance analysis to support logistics forecasting and budget tracking
• Review performance data from third-party logistics providers, challenging assumptions and supporting accountability

Candidate Profile:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and experience working as a fully qualified Accountant for a medium or large size business
• Able to clearly communicate financial data to non-finance stakeholders
• Confident and proactive in challenging business performance and driving results
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
