Salary: Up to £40,000 (DOE) + benefits (Hybrid Working, Study Support, Bonus)

Location: East Midlands

Duration: Full time, Permanent

Sellick Partnership have been engaged to recruit an Accountant for a dynamic and growing Accountancy practice based in the East Midlands. The company has onboarded a significant amount of clients over the past 12 months and due to this an exciting opportunity has opened up.

My client is looking for a well-rounded individual who can manage the full range of client services, from bookkeeping and payroll through to year-end accounts preparation and tax return drafting.

Responsibilities of the Accountant include:

• Running of the month payroll bureau
• Overseeing and delivering bookkeeping and VAT return services
• Prepare limited and sole trader accounts
• Liaise with clients, support onboarding and provide day-to-day advice
• Lead digital onboarding/switchovers for clients

Successful Accountant candidates will have:

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant/bookkeeper (AAT/ACCA/ICAEW or similar)
• Hands on experience working within a practice
• A self-starter who is confident working independently
• Strong communicator who is able to speak with a range of different stakeholders
• Comfortable using accounting systems/software (IRIS, Xero, Sage, Microsoft Office)
