Accountant

Your new company
This large, successful SME business are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join their Stockton-on-Tees base. This is a standalone role, ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping and financial reporting who thrives in a hands-on, independent working environment.

Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting function and will report directly to the senior leadership team.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Process monthly payroll for circa 50+ employees
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Bank Reconciliations
• Produce monthly stock and cash flow reports
• Purchase Ledger
• Sales Ledger
• VAT returns
• Accruals and prepayments

What you'll need to succeed
Minimum of 5 years' experience in accountancy or bookkeeping
Sage 50 & Sage Payroll experience
Excel
Qualifications
AAT qualified or qualified by experience
