Accountant - Accountancy Practice
Location: Worcester
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Our client, a reputable and growing accountancy practice, is seeking an ambitious and motivated Accountant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to take on responsibility, work directly with clients, and progress their career with the potential to gain shares in the firm in the future.

The Role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of clients, primarily small businesses. Your work will include:

• Preparing accounts and tax returns

• Preparing VAT returns and management accounts

• Supporting clients with accounting software, particularly Xero

• Managing client relationships and attending meetings with the Director

• Working independently to manage your own workload and deadlines

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in their work

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

• A proactive approach and the ability to manage time effectively

• Confidence in working independently, while also contributing positively to a close-knit team

• Experience with Xero would be advantageous, though training can be provided
