Accountant – Automotive Business

Bradford | Up to £36,500 | 3 days per week on-site

You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial control, leading a small accounts team, and supporting the Financial Controller in delivering robust processes that drive performance and efficiency.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and supporting a small accounts team, including mentoring and development
• Overseeing core financial processes such as reconciliations, purchase approvals, and payment runs
• Preparing and reviewing monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Submitting quarterly VAT returns and supporting external audits
• Partnering with internal teams to provide insight and improvements across the business
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance financial controls

What we’re looking for:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a drive to qualify
• Solid experience in sales ledger, purchase ledger, and general accounts
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS
• Confident with Excel and comfortable working in a systems driven environment
• Detail oriented, organised, and proactive with excellent communication skills
