Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Accountant position based in Buckinghamshire on behalf of our client.

SAGE LINE 50 is essential as this is the sole accountancy role with in this business.

Our client is an SME, so would suit a solid Book keeper/Accountant from a small business who is used to being the entire accounts function.

The successful candidate will play a key role within their finance team, focusing on managing and verifying financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and supporting the company's accounting functions. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in accounting, with specific experience in Sage Line 50, trial balance preparation, fixed asset management, and VAT returns. The role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Office based, hours 8.30-4.30

• Proficiency in Sage Line 50 accounting software
• Experience in preparing and reconciling trial balances
• Knowledge of fixed assets management and reporting
• Ability to prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team
• An understanding of relevant accounting regulations and compliance requirements
