Accountant

Are you an experienced Accountant looking to join a friendly and growing accountancy practice?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy firm in Preston who are looking to add an Accountant to their team. This opportunity would suit either a Part-Qualified Accountant (AAT/ACCA/ACA) or a Qualified by Experience (QBE) professional with previous practice experience.

The Package:

* Salary £30,000 – £36,000 depending on experience

The Role:

* Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients

* Producing management accounts

* Preparing VAT returns

* Assisting with corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns

* Liaising directly with clients and providing day-to-day accounting support

* Supporting senior team members with client assignments and advisory work

The Candidate:

* Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential

* Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, ACA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE)

* Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and VAT

* Good communication and client relationship skills

* Able to manage workloads and deadlines effectively

* Experience with cloud-based accounting software would be advantageous
