Accountant

The role

You will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of work, with a particular focus on audit, accounts and tax. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering audit assignments, including budgeting, analytical review and risk assessment
Completing full audits for a varied client base, including limited companies, charities, academies and clubs
Supporting junior members of the team and preparing audit files for Manager review
Preparing year-end accounts and tax returns
Preparing VAT returns
Reviewing straightforward accounts and tax returns
Supporting and developing AAT trainees
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and proceduresAbout you

We are looking for someone who combines solid technical ability with a professional and personable approach.

You will ideally have:

Experience delivering full audits within an accountancy practice
Part qualified ACA or ACCA
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
A proactive, solutions-focused approach
Good communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
A genuine interest in developing your technical knowledge and career
A willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
