Accountant

C&N Recruitment are excited to be working with an award-winning accountancy firm based in Stevenage recruiting for an accountant that will be solely managing the VAT accounts. The practice was founded back in 2006 and have received numerous accolades which reflects them as a standing leader in the field of finance and accountancy and serves as an acknowledgement of their commitment to delivering highly specialised and dedicated service to their clients.
The main purpose of the role is that you will be reviewing returns that have been prepared, liaise with the client directly, file the return and manage all the deadlines.
There is a dedicated admin department who will handle the chasing of paperwork, however the main client management involving technical VAT queries, filing returns and meeting deadlines will be the VAT Managers responsibility. You may be required to assist the admin department with client chasing where necessary. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Duties
Manage and supervise the VAT process from start to finish by liaising with an in-house admin department and an outsourced accounting team.
