Accountant - Family Office

RECfinancial are partnering with a successful privately owned business in Leicester in the appointment of a Family Office Accountant.

This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to work closely with the Directors and their families, taking responsibility for the financial oversight of their business interests, property, investments and wider family wealth.

The role is commutable from all areas of Leicester / Leicestershire, Nottingham, Derby, Coventry / Warwickshire. 

Working closely with the Directors, you’ll take responsibility for consolidating and reporting on the financial position of the family, covering commercial and residential property, investments, family investment companies, trusts and business interests across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities will include coordinating UK and international tax matters, reviewing investment performance, analysing risk and potential returns, reviewing proposals from wealth managers, overseeing pension and inheritance tax strategies and providing clear financial information to support the family’s decision making.

You’ll also play a key role in the continued development of the Family Office, reviewing new investment and acquisition opportunities as the family looks to diversify its interests. For a full-time appointment, there will also be involvement in wider commercial projects including M&A opportunities, competitor analysis and royalty reporting.

We’re particularly keen to hear from experienced accountants with a background in accountancy practice, private client, family office, wealth management or a similar advisory environment. Previous Family Office experience would be advantageous, although more important is having a strong accounting and tax background, commercial awareness and the ability to analyse investments, risk and financial information.

The business is open to considering both full-time and part-time candidates.

The salary range for this position is £60,000 – £70,000 full-time equivalent, depending on experience. They also offer a very competitive hybrid working environment and benefits package
