Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager at Test Email plays a crucial role in achieving our financial goals, ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations, and keeping regulatory and statutory compliance. This role contributes significantly to our company's financial strategy and decision-making processes. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Accounting Manager will work closely with various teams and departments throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including:
• Month and end-year process
• Accounts payable/receivable
• Cash receipts
• General ledger
• Payroll and utilities
• Treasury, budgeting
• Cash forecasting
• Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• Capital assets reconciliations
• Check runs
• Fixed asset activity
• Debt activity
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Provide recommendations to improve systems and processes
• Develop and manage financial systems and policies
• Manage relationships with partners and external bodies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master’s degree or Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
• Profound knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software, preferably QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organisational skills for managing complex, detailed work
• Strong communication skills, punctuality and professionalism
• Pays strong attention to detail and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
