Accounting Technician/ Assistant Accountant- Newry

Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established and prestigious Accountancy Practice based in Newry. Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Accounting Technician/ Assistant Accountant to join their small and supportive team.

Our client is happy to consider Qualified-By-Experience Assistant Accountants, or Accounting Technicians that are keen to pursue a Chartered Route. Full study support is available should any applicants wish to complete their professional examinations.

Working alongside two Accountants, mentorship will be offered and a supportive environment guaranteed. The successful applicant will be required to complete the following duties:

• Production of accounts
• Payroll weekly and monthly
• ROI RCT Submissions
• UK CIS submissions
• UK SA Tax Returns
• Liaising with clients
• VAT Returns
• EC Sales
• General accounting and administrative duties

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
• Previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice setting is essential
