Job Description - Accounts Administrator

Looking for a steady office job where you can learn real accountancy skills and build a long-term career?

No office experience? That's okay, attitude is what's most important here.

You’ll be handling things like payment processing and customer account queries. With ongoing hands-on support, you’ll grow your understanding of finance, which could open up opportunities for a career in accountancy.

You’ll work in an office just on the outskirts of Leamington Spa. With fixed hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, your evenings and weekends stay yours! There’s also an annual bonus based on the company's performance, which will top up your pay.

This office is fun and lively, so you'll prefer a social environment.

What you’ll do

You’ll be part of a team of 17, helping to manage and monitor payments coming into the company to ensure its cash flow runs smoothly.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Posting and allocating cash payments
  • Reconciling cash sales and processing card payments
  • Handling customer queries and following up on outstanding payments
  • Working to resolve account issues
  • Liaising with branches and internal teams over the phone and via email

What you’ll need

  • Good customer service skills - you’ll be dealing with people by phone and email
  • Basic IT skills and the confidence to learn new company systems
  • A good level of numeracy - you’ll be working with figures every day

The business is a wholesaler with nearly 400 branches across the UK. It’s family-run and has a strong focus on supporting its people to develop their careers.
