Job Description - Accounts Administrator

Annual Salary: £27,500 - £30,000 per annum

Location: South Oxfordshire

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you looking to take a step forward in your accounting career within a constantly growing and developing business? This Accounts Administrator vacancy might be the role for you!

Reed are delighted to partner with a business in South Oxfordshire, seeking a positive, reliable, and motivated Accounts Administrator to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth daily operations within their distribution facility, focusing on high-quality client service and efficient financial and administrative processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Process and confirm supplier invoices, including matching to GRNS and investigating discrepancies.
  • Handle daily generation of sales invoices and manage customer statements.
  • Set up new client and supplier accounts, including renewals and retirements.
  • Respond to customer and supplier queries regarding accounts.
  • Perform reconciliations of company card reports and manage year-end filing preparations.
  • Maintain both physical and online filing systems.
  • Manage daily administrative duties including handling post, email queries, and processing actions promptly.
  • Support the Financial Controller and Office Manager with ad hoc duties and assist other finance roles during periods of leave.
  • Participate in company development projects as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT Level 2 qualification or higher.
  • Proven experience in accounts and administration, ideally within an accounting environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in IT and administrative systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Professional and discreet handling of confidential data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a dynamic willingness to learn.
