Based near Chesham, Buckinghamshire our well-established accountancy firm is looking for an Accounts and Audit Advisor to join the business on a permanent basis.

This job would suit someone keen to pursue a career in audit, with at least 2 A levels at A-C grades or equivalent. Full study support for AAT is offered as part of the remuneration package, with an opportunity to be considered on completion for joining the ICAEW ACA training programme.

The firm is growing considerably, and they are looking to take on a new trainee accountant with exciting career development and exposure. There are lots of progression opportunities within the practice and they are known to look after their staff very well.

The successful individual will be both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and partners to help businesses effectively. They will be highly analytical with good problem-solving skills, and the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role to be able to engage and manage a number of stakeholders.

Duties will include:

Preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships
Preparation of financial statements for unaudited companies
Assistance with bookkeeping services and completion of value-added tax (VAT) returns
Providing support to Audit Seniors during statutory audit engagements
