An ambitious and rapidly expanding top 50 accountancy practice is looking for a motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a Junior or Trainee Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career within a progressive firm that works with a wide variety of owner-managed businesses.

Role Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for clients including sole traders, partnerships and SMEs.
• Carrying out accurate bookkeeping and data processing duties.
• Producing management accounts.
• Preparing and checking VAT returns in line with current regulations.
• Assisting in the preparation of audit files and pre-audit planning tasks.
• Providing first-line responses to client queries and supporting ongoing client relationships.
• Taking on general administrative tasks as needed within the team.

Personal Requirements

• AAT qualified or currently progressing through ACCA.
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice, ideally with some exposure to audit.
• Detail-focused and client-oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both clients and colleagues.
• A positive, can-do attitude with a team-first mindset.
• Analytical thinker with a solutions-based approach to challenges.
• Professional and dependable when handling confidential information.
