Accounts and Audit Senior

I'm currently hiring for a qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to join an established accountancy firm based in Romford on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone with solid experience in practice who's confident leading audits and managing client relationships across a varied portfolio.

The Role:
You'll be responsible for overseeing audits from planning through to completion, preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients. This is a hands-on role, working closely with partners and junior team members to deliver high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead audit assignments from planning to sign-off
• Review and prepare financial statements in line with relevant standards
• Maintain and build strong client relationships
• Support junior staff and contribute to their development
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure clients receive joined-up advice
• Stay up to date with audit and accounting regulations

What I'm Looking For:

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification
• At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Strong audit background, with good knowledge of UK GAAP
• Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with clients directly
• Experience using common accounting/audit software (e.g. IRIS, CaseWare, Xero etc.)
