Accounts Assistant

• Location: Outskirts of Woking (own transport needed)
• Salary: 28k - 32k per annum

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team immediately. This role offers a full-time position with flexible working hours, either from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, including the option to work from home one day a week (after settling in period). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accountancy.

• Processing supplier and subcontractor payment applications.
• Managing expenses and ensuring accurate recording.
• Handling CIS and all HMRC returns efficiently.
• Maintaining purchase and subcontractor ledgers.
• Conducting bank reconciliations and keeping financial records up-to-date.
• Ensuring accurate bookkeeping, including management of credit and debtors.

• Minimum of two years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of construction accountancy practices is required.
• Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
• Hands-on approach to all tasks.
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating financial information.
