Accounts Assistant

We are excited to partner with a thriving manufacturing company located near Hull who are looking for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their team on a maternity cover contract. This is an excellent role for someone who is immediately available and ready to jump into a new role!

About the role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Process expenses claims
• Cash book postings
• Statement reconciliations
• Process intercompany recharges and invoices
• Raising sales invoices
• Ensure creditors ledger is tidy each month end and fully allocated
• Be able to cover running the weekly maintenance report
• Assist during month end and process journals
• Provide cover for sales ledger and supplier payment runs when needed

About you

The successful Accounts Assistant will have the following attributes:

• AAT Level 4 qualified or working towards the qualification
• Good level of IT and computer systems literacy
• Positive attitude and excellent work ethic
• Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills both internally and externally

6-month maternity cover contract working with a close-knit finance team. Due to the location, a driving licence is essential.
