This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant looking to gain broad experience across accounts and tax preparation while building strong client relationships. You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working alongside highly regarded seniors and managers to develop your technical skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns for a varied client base.
• Support the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.
• Undertake bookkeeping duties, ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant.
• Liaise directly with clients, answering queries and resolving any issues.
• Work closely with senior accountants, supporting them on client advisory work.

What the client is looking for:

• Ideally 1-2 years' experience working in a practice environment.
• Industry experience will be considered, but you must be keen to transition into practice and enjoy working with local clients.
• Prior experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software would be beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
