Accounts Assistant – £25,000 to £28,000
Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey

We are seeking a highly motivated and numerate individual to join our team as an Accounts Assistant. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

The successful candidate will be confident working with both purchase and sales ledger functions and thrive in a busy, supportive team environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements
• Preparing payment runs and resolving queries
• Liaising with the operations department
• Bank reconciliations
• Posting customer receipts and issuing statements
• Assisting in learning and managing the accounts aspect of our operational system (Multifreight)

Requirements:

• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with Sage is desirable
• Freight forwarding experience is helpful but not essential
• Quick to learn with a proactive and positive attitude
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Benefits:

• £25,000 – £28,000 salary (depending on experience)
• 20 days holiday plus one day off for your birthday
