Description

Accounts Assistant:

• Maintain accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of management accounts
• Process purchase and sales invoices, ensuring timely and accurate data entry
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage petty cash
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements
• Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding issues
• Monitor stock control data and liaise with the operations team regarding variances
• Support payroll processing and employee expense claims
• Maintain financial filing systems and support audit preparation
• Ad hoc duties to support the finance team and wider business functions

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

• AAT Studier or relevant experience
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary in the range of £27,000 to £30,000, depending on experience.
