Accounts Assistant : Craigavon

Permanent | Full-Time | £27,000 to £30,000 per annum

REED is delighted to be partnered with our client, an innovative and forward thinking business based in Craigavon, in the appointment of a full-time Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

As the Accounts Assistant, you will be working as part of a team of 3 within finance, reporting to the Financial Controller. They are seeking an enthusiastic individual, with great communication skills, a willingness to learn, strong technical abilities in accounting and reporting, as well as excellent skills in Excel and ideally ERP software.

Role & responsibilities:

• Purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger
• Bank reconciliation
• Assisting with payroll
• VAT Returns
• Assisting with the preparation of month end management accounts
• Working as part of a team of 3 within accounts

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Be a fully qualified or Part Qualified Accounting Technician
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and ERP software
• A hunger to learn and develop accounting experience
• Ability to work independently when required and take ownership of responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills, time management and working towards tight deadlines
