Accounts Assistant

JHE & Partners are working with a business in Shipley who are looking for an accounts assistant on a permanent basis. Working in a small team of four and reporting into the finance manager, this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and conscientious candidate.

The company is now part of a lager, national group, but self-sufficient and very much its own entity. Long-standing with a great reputation, the chosen candidate will be an integral member of the team overseeing the accounts payable with wider extensive accounting responsibilities. Ideally, the chosen candidate will have good analytical skills with excellent excel experience (Pivots, Lookups etc)

Duties include:

• Full responsibility and maintenance of the purchase ledger processing a small number of monthly invoices
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing monthly underwriting
• Regular reporting and month-end accounts including variance analysis and journal postings
• Cash flow analysis, reviewing and keeping management abreast of cash movement
• Overseeing of fixed asset register
• Ad hoc reporting on excel

This is an opportunity offering genuine progression and ideally suited to a candidate looking to really progress within an established business.

Salary on offer is £28,000 - £30,000 with some good benefits, offering genuine progression.
