Accounts Assistant– Reading – £26,000 to £30,000 per annum – 12 Months FTC

About the Client

A well-established organisation employing over 200 people across the UK, with a growing presence and a varied client base. With offices nationwide, they offer a wide range of services and pride themselves on fostering a collaborative environment that supports learning and development.

Duties Will Include

Processing purchase and sales invoices, and managing supplier payments

Performing bank reconciliations and posting journals

Assisting with credit control and maintaining the aged debtors report

Supporting VAT returns and preparation of reports for audit

Helping with month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments

Responding to internal and external finance queries

Maintaining accurate records and updating financial systems regularly

About the Successful Applicant

You’ll be detail-oriented, organised, and enthusiastic about developing a career in finance. Some previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role would be helpful, along with good Excel skills. Studying towards AAT or early-stage ACCA/CIMA is advantageous but not essential.
