Accounts Assistant

NXTGEN are working in exclusive partnership with a growing business based in Wymondham to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit finance team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant seeking a supportive working environment with a fantastic culture, or for someone looking to take their first step into a Finance Assistant role.

As Accounts Assistant, you'll work closely with the Management Accountant and wider team to support the day-to-day running of the AP and AR functions. The role will be varied and fast-paced, so the ability to manage and prioritise your workload will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining AP/AR ledgers in a timely and accurate manner
• Processing supplier and customer invoices
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Assisting with VAT returns
• Handling supplier queries efficiently
• Supporting daily cash reconciliations and managing petty cash

The successful candidate will have prior experience working in an Accounts Assistant role, ideally within a high-volume purchase ledger environment. Experience using SAGE is highly desirable. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team will be essential.
