Location: Hybrid (following probation) | Office-based during probation

About the Role:

I’m recruiting on behalf of a reputable and growing accountancy practice that is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Associate to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in VAT and bookkeeping, ideally gained within a practice environment, who is looking to progress into management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit VAT returns for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using accounting software
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Support senior accountants with ad hoc tasks and reporting

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a similar role within a practice environment
• Strong understanding of VAT and bookkeeping principles
• Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms (QuickBooks)
• AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/ACA (desirable but not essential)
