Accounts Assistant

Marks Sattin are working with an established and forward-thinking business in Leeds is looking to hire an Accounts Assistant to support its finance function.

Working in a small team, you will be tasked with high volume transactional work, whilst also assisting with month end processing.

For this role, our client will pay up to £32,000 and offer hybrid working. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their finance career, with full study support available for AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with regular financial processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
• Manage and track purchase orders, resolving any related queries with internal teams or suppliers.
• Help maintain financial accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
• Contribute to both day-to-day finance operations and wider team projects.

Experience required:

• Around 2 years of experience in a finance or accounts support role.
• Familiarity with month-end processes and working to deadlines.
• Experience with finance systems or ERPs is a bonus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Comfortable using Excel and other standard office tools.
