Are you passionate about accountancy and interested in the music industry? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Royalty Accounting team at our client’s business, working with creative clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-driven Accounts Assistant to support a wide range of financial and bookkeeping tasks. You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations, helping maintain accurate records and assist with royalty-related processes.
What You’ll Be Doing:

• Maintaining books and records using Sage Line 50, Xero and Excel (Double Entry Bookkeeping)
• Preparing cash book and bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledgers, and VAT returns with supporting calculations
• Managing banking correspondence, including balance confirmations and opening new accounts
• Liaising with label managers, royalty collection societies, and internal accounting teams
• Supporting the royalty accounting team with invoice coding, expense review, and interpreting artist agreements
• Setting up internet payments and preparing payment transfer documentation
• Assisting with client cash flow management and debtor collection
• Supporting senior team members on ad hoc projects

What Our Client Is Looking For:

• 1–2 years’ experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role in simular environment
• Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting software (Sage, Xero)
• Numerate, organised, and methodical
• Eager to learn and a collaborative team player
• An interest in music royalties or the wider entertainment industry is a bonus
