Accounts Assistant

Our client in the private veternary industry are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support their finance operations. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team and gain broad exposure in a dynamic, multi-site business.

• Assist with day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable and receivable
• Support bank reconciliations and posting of transactions
• Help prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audit preparation
• Respond to internal and external finance queries in a timely manner
• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Confident using Excel and finance systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, NetSuite)
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Studying towards AAT or similar qualification is a plus
