An ambitious and forward-thinking accountancy firm is looking to welcome an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper into their expanding team. This opportunity provides a rich mix of responsibilities, allowing you to deepen your expertise across a range of financial functions while working with a varied client portfolio.

Main Duties:

• Compiling year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
• Completing tax returns for individuals and corporate entities, and liaising with HM Revenue & Customs to address queries.
• Advising clients on VAT requirements and ensuring adherence to up-to-date regulations.
• Supporting the management and coordination of clients' financial records and affairs.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Preferably AAT qualified or progressing through the qualification.
• Working towards ACA or ACCA, with at least one year of hands-on practice experience, particularly in account preparation.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented problem-solving mindset.
