The Role

As Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone looking to build their finance career in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process and reconcile bank transactions
• Process invoices, ensuring correct expense coding
• Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy
• Support the monthly BACS payment run
• Maintain tidy and accurate sales and purchase ledgers
• Assist department managers in clearing outstanding debts
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding payment queries
• Provide general administrative and accounting support to the wider finance team

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident using accounting software and Excel
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Studying AAT or interested in pursuing finance qualifications
