We’re hiring on behalf of our client for a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in finance or accounting who’s looking to grow within a stable company offering variety, progression, and a collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities:Processing purchase and sales invoices
Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts
Assisting with month-end procedures, including journals and accruals
Preparing and posting payments
Managing petty cash and staff expenses
Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial reporting
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Liaising with suppliers, clients, and internal departments
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks - training can be provided)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills and a team-player mentality
AAT qualification (or studying towards) is desirable but not essential
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
