Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Shrewsbury

Salary: £26000 - £28000

Top of the salary range will be offered to a candidate with previous experience in Credit Control.

We are currently recruiting for a lovely client of ours based in Shrewsbury. The business is in a period of growth, with multiple exciting projects on the horizon! The team are friendly, positive and approachable, they’re looking for a like-minded person to join them long-term and grow with the business! The ideal candidate should have previous experience in Credit Control or Purchase Ledger in order to hit the ground running with elements of the role. Although past experience in an Accounts role would be ideal, my client would be more than happy to provide all necessary training for a candidate with transferrable skills and a keen interest in a career in Accountancy!

Responsibilities Will Include:

• Complete Credit Control duties including chasing outstanding payments and allocating incoming payments.
• Complete Purchase Ledger duties including processing invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate.
• Be involved in up-coming projects to improve and streamline processes!

Ideally, You Will:

• Previous experience in Credit Control or Purchase Ledger would be ideal, in order to hit the ground running with elements of the role!
• We are looking for a confident and friendly candidate that is able to follow their own initiative!
• A keen interest and excitement about a career in Accountancy is essential as this is a well-rounded position with lots of learning opportunities!
• Be a confident user of computer systems and Microsoft Excel, as this will be used on a daily basis!
