Accounts Assistant

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established, growing, modern firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leeds City Centre.

This firm operates over multiple locations and offers a wide range of services to their clients. This role will give you the chance to work across a variety of clients and perform various duties to keep your work varied and interesting.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of year end and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies (including those under FRS102, 1A and 105).
• Preparation of bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Preparation of corporate tax and personal tax returns
• Utilising cloud technology

To qualify for this Accounts Assistant position, ideally you will meet the following:

• 2+ years’ experience working in an accountancy firm.
• AAT qualified and working towards ACA or ACCA.
• Experience using any of the following: Sage, Xero, QuickBooks.
• Proficient in Excel
• Knowledge of recent developments in relation to accounting and tax compliance (FRS 102 / FRS102 1a / FRS 105)
