Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant - £30,000 - £35,000 per year - Central London - Hybrid

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with growing fintech firm in the West End to recruit an Accounts Assistant. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be a key member of the finance team, supporting purchase and sales ledger processes, bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices, credit notes and staff expenses
• Prepare weekly payment runs
• Raise customer invoices and manage debtor balances
• Complete bank reconciliations and post bank transactions
• Support month-end close including reconciliations, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals and journals
• Assist with loan account reconciliations, monthly loan and cashflow analysis
• Support VAT return preparation and compliance documentation
• Maintain accurate records and filing systems
• Provide general finance administration support and assist with ad hoc tasks

Requirements:

• 2-3 years' experience in a similar finance or accounts role
• Good knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping
• Studying towards or holding an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT)
• Strong Excel skills with experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills and ability to work under supervision
• Knowledge of UK VAT and accounting principles
• Full working rights in the UK
