Accounts Assistant

My client is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This role reports directly to the Financial Controller.
The role is fully office-based and would suit someone currently studying AAT - study support is offered.

Sales Ledger Management:* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales transactions.* Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.* Reconcile sales ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.* Follow up on outstanding payments and work with the Sales team to ensure prompt payment.
Payroll Processing:* Process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.* Verify and maintain employee records related to payroll, including tax information, benefits, and deductions.* Stay up to date with relevant tax and labour laws to ensure compliance.* Prepare and submit payroll reports to management.
Financial Reporting:* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.* Collaborate with the finance team to provide data for analysis and forecasting.* Compile and organise financial data for auditing purposes.
Documentation and Compliance:* Maintain and update all relevant documentation related to the finance department.* Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.* Assist in internal and external audits as needed.
