Job Description - Accounts Assistant- 6 months fixed term contract

Badham Pharmacy is a family owned chain of 27 pharmacies across Gloucestershire and Bristol, serving patients since 1940, and with a long history of exceptional patient-centred care.
We are recruiting for an experienced accounts assistant at our Bishops Cleeve head office.

This is a part time role working 23 hours over 3 days a week Monday or Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for a 6 month fixed term contract, to support the existing team with the implementation of a new project.
Working hours are 08:30-17:00pm, and 08:30-16:00pm on a Friday.

To be successful in the role we need someone with the following attributes and skills: -A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
A can do outcome focused attitude and approach, resourceful and works to make things happen
A relentless drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results through efficient and effective ways of working
First class administrative skills and confidence with using technology
Experience of Sage 200 preferred
Confidence in using excel, and in using formulas such a sumif and vlookup and graphs

A creative and analytical thinking style, applying tenacity in the face of obstacles
A pro-active approach to work and problem solving, and the ability to spot and deal with issues as they occur
A high level of personal integrity, who displays respect and empathy for others and is consistent, open and honest

The role will cover a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to the following:

Prepare the monthly KPI report for branches and board
Prepare monthly VAT returns
Office National Statistics reports
Raise sales invoices
Support the Head of Finance to ensure accurate and timely Management accounts:
Run various reports from various sources and perform calculations in excel
Post various monthly journals
Prepare analysis of premises costs by branch for the management accounts
The role, whilst being part of a team of 8, will enable the successful candidate to organise and control their own work schedule.
The working hours will be flexible and reflect a suitable work, life balance.

The package will include:
Rate of pay £13.24- £14.56 per hour dependent on level of experience
