Are you a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a passion for numbers? Our client, a reputable and growing accountancy practice based in Romford, is looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their friendly team.

?? About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys a varied role and working closely with clients. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT returns, and supporting the wider accounts team.

?? Key Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across various industries
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Reconciling bank statements and managing ledgers
• Assisting with management accounts preparation
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide support
• Using cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)

? What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
• Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge
• AAT qualified or studying (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Confident using cloud accounting software
• A team player with great communication skills
