Accounts Assistant

£30-35k depending on experience

St Albans - fully office based

Our client is a fun, vibrant business based in St Albans. This role reports into the Financial Controller. Do you have experience in Credit Control, with an analytical approach and advanced Excel skills? Do you want to work in a fun sales environment for a company that reward their staff with annual trips abroad? This role is predominantly credit control, so you will need to have a confident telephone manner and good relationship builder.

Responsibilities:

• Credit control, contact debtors by telephone to collect outstanding monies 
• Reconciliation of staff commissions - manual calculations
• Quarterly management accounts 
• Assist FC with payroll 
• Accounts payable
• Support with budgets and forecasts

Skills, experience, attributes:

• AAT - desirable
• Experience in Credit Control 
• Confident, positive manner
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good IT skills
• Advanced excel
• Quickbooks knowledge - desirable
• Logical, and analytical mind

This role would suit someone who is experienced in Credit Control and either an AAT studier looking for training and development, or experienced in Credit Control and Management Accounts, and looking for fun company to work for. The hours of work are 9am-5.30pm, or 8.30am - 5pm.
