Accounts Assistant/ Trainee Accountant

The Role:

The Accounts Assistant role will work really closely with the Accountant, with a dotted line to the Head of Finance & regular access to the Finance Director. They key components of the role include:

• Assisting with monthly management accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Ensuring a robust month-end close: journals, accruals and prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliation’s
• Bank reconciliations
• Transactional finance - accounts payable and accounts receivable
• General Ledger management

Candidate Profile:

The employer will only consider applicants that are in a sensible travelling distance to their office in the west of Scotland 1 day per week so it’s essential candidates are based in the central belt of Scotland.

• 2 years practical finance experience
• Strong month-end & transactional finance experience
• Management accounting exposure is advantageous
• Currently studying or interested in further study
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, and technical skills
• Proficient user of Excel
