Role:

As the Accounts Associate, based in Shrewsbury, you’ll be an integral part of the Accounts & Business Advisory Services team, working closely with experienced professionals and mentors to enhance your practical skills and client service capabilities.
As an Accounts Associate, you will be expected to:

• Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day accounting activities.
• Liaise with clients and HMRC, gaining broad exposure across the practice.
• Begin advising on best practices, with the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge.

Requirements:

As the Accounts Associate, you will be expected to have at least 1 years’ accounts experience with an accountancy practice environment.
In addition to this, you will be/have:

• A finance/accounts related qualification
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
• Proficiency in IT and knowledge/experience of accounting software
• A strong communicator with an eye for detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Either studying towards AAT or looking to begin the qualification (full support provided).
• Ideally based locally to Shrewsbury
