Accounts Associate

Eaton Syalon are partnering exclusively with a Nottingham based business to recruit an experienced Accounts Associate to join their team. This role will be pivotal for assisting in the preparation of accounts and tax returns for a wide range of clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Assist with preparation on tax returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
• Liaise with clients to gather necessary information, resolve queries, and provide updates.
• Support senior accountants and managers in delivering high-quality accounting services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and industry practices.
• Prepare financial statements and accounts for a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and personal tax returns.
• Identify potential tax planning opportunities and escalate to senior team members.

We're looking for candidates who are AAT qualified (or studying towards) with at least two years experience in an accountancy practice background, keen to make a move to a forward-thinking, friendly team. The ideal candidate will need to be able to delve into the detail and work in a fast paced environment, supporting Senior Accountants and Managers with multiple clients. Experience of working on Quickbooks/Xero would be advantageous.
