Job Description - Accounts Asssitant

We’re working with an FMCG group based in Reddish on the lookout for a driven Accounts Assistant. You’ll get stuck into all areas of finance - perfect if you’re looking to broaden your skillset, study and develop with an exciting, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Balance sheet & P&L reconciliations
Journals, accruals, and prepayments
VAT returns & fixed asset work
FX revaluations and intercompany recs
Weekly cashflow prep
Month-end support, audit prep, tax claims, stocktakes

Key Requirements

Previous experience in finance, ideally within an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant role
Strong Excel skills and solid IT knowledge
Someone who can think ahead, stay organised, and pick things up quickly
AAT would be beneficial
Experience within manufacturing would be a bonus

The package:

£30,000 salary
Study support (CIMA or ACCA)
Hybrid working (1 day WFH, rising to 2 post-probation)
A clear path for progression within a fast-growing group
