We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper /Accounts Manager to join our team and take charge of the day-to-day financial operations. If you’re experienced with Xero, have a solid understanding of VAT and payroll, and enjoy working closely with the Directors and Operations Manager to support financial decision-making.

The role

· Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciling accounts in Xero

· Updating and maintaining cashflow forecasts using existing templates

· Preparing monthly management accounts and reports

· Assisting with VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements

· Overseeing payroll data, understanding payroll journals, PAYE, and NI

· Supporting with year-end accounts and tax planning

· Getting involved in budgeting, financial planning, and improving finance systems when needed

The candidate

• Experiences in a bookkeeping or finance assistant role
• Very good knowledge and experience in Xero (or similar cloud-based software)
• Knows about UK VAT rules and payroll processes
• Confident using Excel or Google Sheets for forecasting/reporting
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Great communicator and team player
• Nice to have AAT or similar
